One of the ways we continue to build Legendary Service into our corporate DNA is through our annual Legendary Service Stories Contest.
Through this event, supervisors and colleagues nominate those peers who they feel consistently perform above and beyond and embrace our ICARE principles of being Innovative, Collaborative, Attentive, Responsive and Empowered. We receive hundreds of entries, but only a select few are chosen winners. Those winning entries are memorialized in a keepsake brochure that is distributed to all colleagues so that the stories can inspire and challenge us to earn our own Legendary Service testimonials.
This is also a great testament to our culture, each Legendary Service story winner selected a charitable organization to receive a donation, and this speaks to our WeCARE efforts of giving back to our communities.
This sense of pride in our day-to-day work makes our culture unique and drives remarkable colleague engagement levels. Which, in turn, make for strong client partnerships.
“Mary is our longest serving consultant in the APAC region, with us for close to a decade. Throughout her tenure with us, she has exemplified what Legendary Service is all about.
Mary cares deeply about her work, about each and every one of the assignees she supports and about doing her best, each and every day, to ensure that all assignees and their families have the utmost positive experience in Weichert’s hands.
She consistently displays the highest degrees of both proactivity and responsiveness in equal measure. Also she’s always accessible to both her colleagues and assignees. A recent case in point illustrates this: as assignee into Hong Kong from mainland China e-mailed Mary late during the evening soon after arriving in Hong Kong, sharing that the was experiencing chest pains and asking what she thought he could do about it. Mary directed him to the nearest hospital, providing the details for the taxi driver in Chinese. The assignee took Mary’s advice and was able to get to the hospital rapidly while Mary stayed with him online where fortunately, everything turned out to be fine.
The story demonstrates the assignee’s confidence in reaching Mary even after hours, his confidence in her ability to help and Mary’s ability to do just that.“
Congratulations, Mary, for your tireless commitment to supporting our clients’ efforts in Asia Pacific.
